WHERE IT BEGAN

I established Letty’s Knits & Crafts in December 2022, born from my lifelong passion for knitting and a desire to share handmade creations with a wider audience. My journey began with a simple love for the craft, inspired by the intricate and magical creations of my mother. Today, I am dedicated to providing high-quality, unique, and comforting knitted and crocheted products that bring joy and warmth to my customers.

EARLY BEGGINING

I started knitting beanies for friends and family members during my school years. It was a hobby at first, a way to pass the time and express my creativity. I would sit for hours, experimenting with different stitches and patterns, often unraveling my work to start again until I got it just right. My friends and family were my first supporters, always encouraging me and proudly wearing my creations. Their positive feedback fueled my passion and motivated me to keep improving my skills.

Finding Solace During the Pandemic

When the COVID-19 pandemic hit in March 2020, we went into lockdown, and I found myself with more free time than I had ever had before. To occupy myself and stay productive, I decided to knit throw blankets for my home. This project not only kept me busy but also provided a sense of comfort and accomplishment during those uncertain times. The act of knitting became a therapeutic escape for me, a way to channel my anxieties into something productive and beautiful.

Turning Passion into Business

In December 2022, after years of honing my craft and receiving countless compliments on my work, I decided to turn my hobby into an income-generating project. Letty’s Knits & Crafts was born out of a desire to share my handmade creations with a wider audience and to make a living doing what I love. I invested in high-quality materials and dedicated myself to perfecting each piece I made, ensuring that every item was a reflection of my passion and craftsmanship.

Local Market Success

By May 2023, I started selling my beanies and scarves at local markets. The response was overwhelmingly positive, and I quickly realized that people truly appreciated the love and effort that went into each handmade item. The joy on customers' faces when they tried on my beanies and scarves was incredibly rewarding and motivated me to create even more. I gradually expanded my product range to include a variety of knitted and crocheted clothing and accessories.

Expanding to Crochet

Crocheting was a natural progression for me, adding another dimension to my crafting repertoire. I learned a lot about crochet through a close friend who shared special techniques that made my pieces look professional. This new skill allowed me to experiment with different textures and designs, further expanding my creative horizons. Custom order requests from customers have been particularly inspiring, as they challenge me to think outside the box and create unique patterns from scratch.

A Testament to Passion and Craft

Today, I pour my heart and soul into every piece I knit or crochet. Each stitch is a testament to my journey, from a curious child watching her grandmother knit to a passionate artisan sharing her creations with the world. My goal is to provide high-quality, handmade knitwear that not only keeps people warm but also brings a touch of love and craftsmanship to their lives. I invite you to explore my collection and see the results of my dedication and passion for yourself.
